3. Duplicates
- StaffingBoss checks for duplicates based on email

For more details on how Quick Add works, please go through What’s New walk-through on Quick Add.
You can still create full profiles of a new record, go to ‘Quick Add’ and click on ‘Advanced New’.
2. Advanced Search
With Advanced Search, you get an entirely new search experience to supercharge your searching capabilities. Here are the functionalities you can expect with the new Advanced Search:
2.1. Toggle search results by Candidates / Jobs / Contacts / Companies and Talent Pools
When using the advanced search bar, StaffingBoss searches across all categories in the system - Candidates, Jobs, Contacts, Companies and Talent Pools. You can click on the category tabs at the top to view only search results related to a specific category e.g. Candidates or Jobs only.
2.2. Filters
As you toggle between categories, the filter option available changes to match. You can now fine-tune your searches across specific fields by using just one, or a combination of filters to narrow down your search results.
For the ‘Jobs’ category, we’ve added Additional Job Information filters which allows you to add customised fields you’ve created to your Jobs filter list.
Too many filters? Customise the filter options display by choosing what to hide/show in the filter list.
For more details on this, we recommend that you follow the walkthrough to learn exactly how filters in Advanced Search works.
2.3. Column Configuration
Need more candidate information like Country, Age and Current Salary to be displayed in the results table? Use the column configuration tool to configure the types of information you want to see.
2.4. Sort Results By
You can choose to sort the result list by Relevance, Frequency or Last Update time.
• Sort by Relevance:
Relevance works by scoring certain fields higher than others. Fields such as job title, name for example will score higher as they are deemed more relevant and will therefore show up higher in the search.
• Sort by Frequency:
This will sort the list by the number of times each keyword in your search appears in the records you are searching through.
E.g. With search term ‘Japan’, records containing the word ‘Japan’ the most will be appear at the top
• Sort by Last Update:
This will sort the list based on the most recent update of the record.
2.5. Bulk Actions
You can take bulk actions from the search results list. Use the tick-boxes to select the Candidates you’re interested in and pick an action you wish to take. You can:
• Send bulk email
• Shortlist candidates to Jobs
• Submit to Talent Pool(s)
• Float candidates to contacts
• Export CSV
3. Text Search
You can now easily toggle between simple 'Text' or more advanced 'Contextual' searches by clicking on a toggle in the search bar.
Text search works in a similar fashion to what you might be used to in Linkedin, and searches across all data (including documents, comments and emails) in your database.
4. Contextual Search
Contextual Searches allows you to drill down to specific field names across candidates / Contacts / Jobs and Company fields contained in the system.
You can search for the fields by typing in the field name and the search tool will filter these in real time.
In addition you can add AND, NOT and OR for more complex Boolean search strings.
5. Hide/Show Chevrons
With the new Chevron toggle, you can now choose to hide or show Chevrons in the CRM, ATS and Jobs.
If you choose to hide the Chevrons, you’ll get a full-screen view of the Candidate information table.
6. Quick View Resume
Now you can quickly view and close the resume without having to leave the page you’re on.
Click on the orange resume icon and a preview of the resume will slide in from the right.
If the resume icon is displayed in grey, it means a resume has yet to be added. Simply click to upload the resume.
7. Restore candidates
Now, you can easily restore a candidate with the undo button.
When you delete a candidate, the stage changes to ‘To be deleted’ and the profile colour changes to red. Hit on the undo button and your candidate will be fully restored to its previous stage.
To permanently delete candidates, go into your Admin Settings page.
8. Field Name Changes
In the Candidate’s profile, what was previously called ‘Availability’ is now renamed as ‘Stage’. This applies to the Contact’s profile too - ‘Status’ is now ‘Stage’.
You can define a Candidate’s or Contact’s stage as Available, Unavailable or Do not call.
Candidate Type is now ‘Status’. Status can be Active or Passive.
These definition changes ensures consistency and simplifies terms used inside StaffingBoss.
9. Candidate Current Address
StaffingBoss now measures a candidate's current address by its latitude and longitude.
When you fill out the Address, you will see that StaffingBoss auto-populates the other address fields like Country, State and City for you, and displays a map of the address.
Why have we done this?
Well, it’s a pre-cursor for the next release. You will be able to identify candidates living close to the Job location. With the added location configurator, StaffingBoss will be able to measure the distance between the location of the job and the current address of the candidate.
10. Candidate Salary Currency
To avoid confusion, we have added a new field to define the currency type for Candidate's salaries.
All Salary Currency of Candidates will be set default to the User who created the candidate.
With this, you can now add 'Currency' information in Column Customization and filter searches by salary currency.
11. KPI Dashboard
If you have previously already set up KPIs in StaffingBoss, you will be able to see your very own pre-built KPI dashboard in your system.
You get 3 types of dashboards:
11.1. KPI Overview
This gives you a monthly/weekly view of your consultants’ activities and performance.
11.2. Performance Over Time
This dashboard shows you your business performance over time, from making sales calls to candidate meetings all the way to resumes sent and placements made.
11.3. Conversion Rate Over Time
You can get the conversion numbers like 1st interviews to Placements and Calls to Client Meetings.
Use the filters to slice and dice the dashboard to compare performance by location, consultant or time periods.
12. New Candidate Stages
You now have more options to choose when defining a Candidate’s stages. The stage represent the highest stage of the Job hiring processes. The list of options now includes:
- Do not call
- Unavailable
- Available
- Shortlisted
- Sent
- 1st Interview
- 2nd Interview
- Offered
- Placed (Perm)
- Placed (Contract / Temp)
- Invoiced
13. Standardized ATS Name
We have renamed and standardised the name of the chevrons in the ATS.
Old Name New Name
Shortlisted candidates Shortlisted
Resume Sent Sent
1st Interview 1st Interview
2nd Interview 2nd + Interview
Offers Offered
Placements Placed
Invoices and Billings Invoiced
14. Standardized Tables for Jobs/Job Details/ Candidates/ Contacts/ Companies
We have unified the tables so that any column customisation made previously will remain even if you toggle between chevrons.
You also have a reset button so you can reset the table back to Default if you need to.
