<Processing Floated Candidates>

Once the user chooses the candidate(s) they want to float and use the ‘float button’, the user will be presented with an email template where they can:

  •  Use the quick search facility to choose the contacts they want to send the candidate to
  •  Amend the email template
  •  Include any attachments with the email

Once the email has been sent, the floated candidates will be placed in the “Resume Sent” chevron. The candidate can then be taken through the same process (and functionality) as if the candidate was attached to a real job, up until the offer stage. At this point, the floated candidate needs to be attached to a real job.

Note: The email template used for sending the floated candidates will allow the recipient to accept/reject the candidate in the same vein as if this was a normal candidate that was being sent via the traditional route.

As floated candidates are not associated with any particular job, we have introduced the concept of a ‘floated job’. This is a generic job that all floated candidates will be attached to, until they are attributed to a real job.

This floated job will always be the first job shown in the job chevron on the Candidate Dashboard. The 2nd and 3rd columns will allow the user to see which companies and which company contacts floated candidates have been sent to.

1. Click "Candidate Dashboard" and select "Jobs".

2. The floated job will be at the top of the list.

3. Click "Floated companies" to see the company that staff have been floated candidates to.

4. Click "Floated Contacts" to see the contact that staff have been floated candidates to.

As mentioned previously, the floated candidates can be processed in the same way as normal candidates until the user tries to move a floated candidate to the offer or placement chevron.

Whenever a user tries to move the floated candidate to the offer or placement stage, the system will request the user to relate this candidate to a real job.

1. Choose floated candidate and click on the green action button.

2.  When you click the buttons to move the floated candidate to the offer or placement stage, system will request you to related this candidate to a real job.

3. Select a job to relate to the candidate and click "Next".

4. The next action will be the taken as same as usual candidates.

However, the user is still able to move a floated candidate to a real job at any stage in the process. Whenever the floated candidate is in the interview phases of the recruitment process, the user can always choose to attach the candidate to a real job. The user will be prompted to decide whether they want to keep the candidate as a floated candidate or move them to a real job.

1. Choose floated candidate and click on the green action button.

2. Click button.

3. You can choose if you move the candidate to a job or continue with floated job.

NOTE: From a candidate profile, a user will be able to see if that particular candidate has been floated to any companies.

When a user goes to the floated job, they will notice that the offer, placement and Invoice chevrons are not available. This is because as previously mentioned, candidates have to be on a real job in these phases.
