Overview

StaffingBoss has introduced two features related to LinkedIn:

  1. Allows a user to view a Candidate/Contact’s LinkedIn Profile within the system (including the ability to parse this information into StaffingBoss so it is available for searching)
  2. Send a LinkedIn Invitation to a contact/candidate from within StaffingBoss

In order for a user to be able to connect to a candidate or contact LinkedIn profile from within StaffingBoss, the user has to first connect their StaffingBoss account to their LinkedIn account.

1. Click "Account" and click "Settings" button.

2. Click "Connect to LinkedIn account".

3. Input account/password to LinkedIn authorization page.

5. Click "Save".

This is a one off exercise. It doesn’t need to be done every time you want to connect.

It is also possible to connect a corporate LinkedIn account to StaffingBoss for those user that may not have LinkedIn accounts. If a user is connected to LinkedIn then their account will take precedence over the corporate account.

1. Click "Settings" and select "Partner & Options".

2. Click "Connect to LinkedIn Account" and set the system LinkedIn account.

As long as the LinkedIn profile url has been added, the clicking of the LinkedIn icon will show the candidate's LinkedIn profile.

1. Go to candidate profile page.

2. Click "Personal tab".

3. Click "Contact".

4. Click LinkedIn icon squared in red.

Similarly,  as long as the LinkedIn profile url has been added, the clicking of the LinkedIn icon will show the contacts LinkedIn profile.

1. Go to contact page.

2. Click LinkedIn button squared in red.

Irrelevant of whether the LinkedIn icon on a contact or a candidate is used, the resulting pop-up page containing the profile information will be the same format (see screenshot below).

In the case that both the logged in user & super user haven’t connected StaffingBoss to a LinkedIn account, the system will show the LinkedIn public profile information as below when the LinkedIn icon is used.
